Milwaukee 48-06-2871 Right Angle Drive Unit Attachment for Milwaukee Drills 0234-6 and 0244-1 OnlySimply put, if you have a Milwaukee 0234 or 0244 model drill, or plan to get one and also need an angle drill, then this is a great way to go to have both drills and save on buying a dedicated angle drill.I called Milwaukee to double-check my 20 year old 0234-1 model drill would take this attachment. They said as long as the model showed 0234 or 0244 as the first four numbers, it would work. You'll notice the product title lists only the 0234-6, or 0244-1. Obviously there are more models (the hyphenated number) that would work like my old 0234-1. You might call them to double check your model, but like I said, they told me the 0234 or 0244 numbers will work. This is the exact kit that comes preinstalled on a regular angle drill so you know you'll get the same performance.Never took my chuck off before, but the instructions where clear enough to figure out. Mine took extra persuading since it hadn't been off in 20 years. By reversing the angle gizmo you get two speed options. After loosening things up I was able to switch back and forth between angle and normal very quickly. Just keep the allen tools nearby and it's easy. You can spin the drill in the collar so that the drill handle faces any direction in relation to the angle attachement/drill bit. One hand on the angle gearbox and one hand on the drill handle and you're running. You'll want to make sure you still have your side handle to screw into the drill for better control on occasion. Tons of torque since of course you're handling a Milwaukee, the drill amperage is plenty to run this angle attachment.Great option to consider to save alot of money.EDIT: 21Mar2010 Just finished new-construction worth of plumbing and electrical holes. This angle drill kit stayed firmly attached to my old hole hawg the entire time. Used Milwaukke M18 cordless drill/drivers, M18 1/4" impact driver, and on occasion an impact drill for all other drilling/driving duties. Performance of the angle kit on my old drill is still perfect and, as is well-known with Milwaukee magnums, a real wrist-tweaker. If you're an occasional user, or have other drills and just want to temporarily convert your 0234 or 0244 - this kit is the way to go.I suppose if you have an extra 0234 or 0244 model Milwaukee drill kicking around, you want to convert it to angled permanently, then this would also be an inexpensive way to get a permanent angle drill.UPDATE 26Mar10: Just got a price alert on this attachment. I've now seen this kit as low as 76.00 shipped from an Amazon Merchant. Quite a savings.
